Services Description
Your forecasts and routing advisories are personalized, covering 3–6 days in 24-hour intervals — skies, pressure, temperature, winds, seas, and the timing of any squalls or storms — extendable to 7–10 days with reduced accuracy beyond day 6. Routing advice can incorporate your vessel's VPP data. We also monitor and advise on higher-latitude storm systems, tropical systems and the ITCZ, and major ocean currents such as the Gulf Stream and Agulhas where your route crosses them.
Communications: two-way satellite email or WhatsApp (Starlink, Iridium, Inmarsat, Thuraya, Hughes, or KVH) is strongly preferred over voice or SMS. Text/SMS-only devices such as Garmin inReach (160-character limit) can help as a backup but are not sufficient on their own — confirm your two-way digital communications capability before you depart. Vessel tracking platforms such as PredictWind, Marine Traffic, MyShipTracking, ShipFinder, and Garmin inReach (used here for tracking, separate from its SMS messaging) are also very helpful, showing us your latest position, course, and speed; we recommend incorporating a tracking and reporting system into your passage.

The Pacific Puddle Jump
Ocean-Pro Weather is a proud sponsor of the Pacific Puddle Jump, the annual migration of yachts crossing from Mexico and Panama to French Polynesia. We've routed vessels across this passage — through the ITCZ, the equatorial currents, and on to landfall in the Marquesas — for years.

Client, Vessel & Passage Registration
Payment Methods
Payment is due in advance of each passage. After you register, we email you an itemized invoice with a secure payment link — no card details are ever entered on this website or sent by email. Bank transfer (ACH) is our preferred method and is offered as the default option on every invoice. All major cards are accepted as well.
How Payment Works
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card or bank details are entered on Stripe’s own secure payment page and never touch our website, our email, or our systems.
There is nothing to fill in here. Once you have submitted the registration form in section 05, payment follows three steps:
- We send your invoice. After reviewing your passage details, we email an itemized invoice from Ocean-Pro Weather & Routing showing the estimated charge and the agreed first payment.
- You pay online. The invoice has a Pay this invoice button. It opens a secure Stripe page where you can pay by bank transfer (ACH) or by card. Bank transfer is offered first.
- You get a receipt. Stripe emails confirmation immediately, and the invoice is marked paid. Your routing service is confirmed at that point.
Prefer to arrange payment another way? Bank transfer details, Zelle, Venmo, or a card taken over the phone are all fine — call +1-239-877-4094 or email captcook@ocean-pro.com.
